What if the memory of an event could become a legendary version of you? Rise to Legend transforms every participant into a unique character, ready to become a collectible card.
The Esports World Cup is one of the world’s most important competitive esports events. After its first two editions in Riyadh, the competition moved to Paris for the first time in 2026, for its third edition, bringing together more than 2,000 professional players, 200 clubs from over 100 countries, 25 tournaments across 24 titles, and a total prize pool of $75 million.
In this context, Multiverse Studio was brought in to create an interactive experience capable of turning visitors to the EWC space into the true protagonists of the event.
This is how Rise to Legend was born: a tool capable of generating custom Trading Card Game-style cards in just a few seconds, transforming each participant’s image into a character belonging to a gaming-inspired universe.
To build the experience, we developed a series of distinct worlds, each with its own visual identity. We created the naming, iconography, and custom card frames, drawing inspiration from some of the most recognizable archetypes and visual languages of competitive gaming.
The creative team also developed the characters through sketches and concept design, defining their clothing, accessories, poses, environments, and distinctive elements. These choices were then integrated into a prompt system designed to combine each user’s preferences with a consistent and recognizable art direction.
The result was a fast and intuitive experience: in just a few steps, each visitor could create their own digital alter ego and receive a unique card, designed both as a souvenir of the experience and as a piece of content to share.
Rise to Legend turned a simple interaction at the stand into a true brand experience, combining AI, art direction, and fan engagement. The tool became a key attraction for thousands of visitors, supporting both entertainment and audience engagement, while also contributing to data collection and customer loyalty.
The experience was also featured during the premiere of the second season of “Esports World Cup: Level Up”, the docuseries dedicated to the EWC world, available on Prime Video.
